This Privacy Policy explains how searchanddrive.com ("SearchAndDrive", "we", "us" or "our") handles information when you visit our website (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information we collect
Our Site does not contain forms and we do not ask you to enter your name, phone number or other contact details on our Site. We may collect the following information automatically:
- Usage and device information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, links clicked and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies and similar technologies used to remember your preferences, measure traffic, understand how the Site is used and track which links are clicked.
- Information you send us if you contact us by email, such as your email address and the content of your message.
2. How we use information
- To operate, maintain and improve the Site;
- To understand how visitors use the Site and measure the performance of our content and marketing;
- To track clicks to our partners for reporting and payment purposes;
- To respond to your messages and requests;
- To prevent fraud and protect the security of the Site; and
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-party websites and partners
When you click a button or link on our Site, you will be taken to a website operated by a third party, such as a marketing partner or insurance comparison service. Any information you provide on that website is collected by that third party and is governed by its own privacy policy and terms, not ours. We encourage you to read those policies before sharing your information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
We and our partners may use cookies, pixels and similar tools (for example, analytics services and advertising platforms) to measure visits, track clicks and conversions and show relevant ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and many browsers let you block or delete cookies. Some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
5. How we share information
We do not sell the personal information we collect on this Site. We may share limited information:
- With service providers that help us host, analyze and run the Site;
- With marketing partners as needed to track clicks and report on traffic (for example, a click identifier);
- If required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public; and
- In connection with a sale, merger or transfer of the Site or its assets.
6. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other U.S. states), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request that it be corrected or deleted, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising. To make a request, email info@searchanddrive.com. We may need to verify your request before acting on it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. Where required by law, we will treat a valid Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser.
8. Data security and retention
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no website or online transmission is completely secure. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.
9. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
